India’s Covid-19 surge dashes hopes of world reopening at once
India’s Covid-19 crisis has cast a shadow on the world reopening and, despite a global ramping up of vaccination, some regions will open borders while others will follow later and in a more limited way, according to a leading Chinese epidemiologist.
Zhang Wenhong, director of the department of infectious diseases at Shanghai’s Huashan Hospital, said he had believed some countries, after sufficient vaccination, would open their borders first and the pandemic would be contained eventually, but the massive surge in India dramatically changed that scenario.
“Our projection on the global epidemic would have been a bit more optimistic, but that time frame now looks like it may have to be extended,” Zhang said in an interview with state broadcaster China Central Television. “It looks like the world may open up in the future in a conditional way, within regions, rather than globally.”
In recent days India has reported more than 400,000 new Covid-19 cases and 4,000 deaths a day, bringing the total number of cases to over 22 million and the death toll to more than 246,000 by Monday. The country’s health system has been overwhelmed and many experts suspect actual death and case numbers to be much larger than those officially reported.
Other countries have been sending humanitarian aid to India but Zhang said the help was limited and India still needed to count on itself to contain Covid-19.

日前，复旦大学附属华山医院感染科主任张文宏分析了印度疫情走势和对中国防控的影响。
他表示，其一，当前全球的疫情没有结束，中国外防输入的任务仍然非常重。
其二，将来疫苗充分接种以后，一些国家可能会进行互通。最终世界上的疫情完全控制住后，疫情的危重性就会逐渐减弱，但是这个时间现在看起来可能要延长。原先没有印度疫情的大暴发，我们对于全球的疫情预判会乐观一点，但现在看来，将来世界的开放可能会是有条件、局域性的开放，而不是全球的。
针对印度的疫情防控现状，张文宏分析说，一个国家或地区的疫情防控主要看三个方面：公共卫生治理能力、老百姓的配合程度以及科技水平。各国可以给予印度一些帮助，“但是真正防控住还得靠自己”。
Electric Bike Explodes in Elevator Burning 5 people, including an infant
Five people, including a 5-month-old infant, were injured on Monday after an e-bike exploded in an elevator in a residential community in Chenghua District of Chengdu.
According to the surveillance video, at 7:34pm on Monday, there were three men and a woman in the elevator. One man was leaning on an e-bike, and the woman was holding a baby, her granddaughter, in her arms.
Soon after the elevator doors closed, the e-bike suddenly emitted thick smoke and started burning.

电动车电梯内起火爆炸，致5人受伤，包括一名婴儿
近日，四川成都一居民小区内有居民正准备乘电梯上楼时，有一男子推着电动自行车在后面也跟着进到了电梯里，就在电梯关门一瞬间，电梯内三名男子好像听到了什么声音，正当他们低头查看时，突然电梯内的电动自行车冒出了一股浓烟，不到3秒钟火光和浓烟就把将个整个电梯厢吞噬！
该事件造成了5人受伤，其中还包括一名婴儿及一名老人，受伤女婴才五个月大，烧伤40%左右，诊断为伤情危重，有生命危险，已转华西医院救治。当时抱着女婴的外婆55岁，烧伤面积达75%，重度烧伤。
对于推电动进电梯的男子来说，这是一个惨痛的教训，但是，却让无辜的人跟着买了单。
除了伤者本身烧伤严重，这一事件对于伤者的家庭来说也无异于一场灾难，希望伤者都可以早日康复，特别是那个无辜的宝宝！
虽然还不能排除电动车的质量问题，但是，如果该男子没有违规将电动车推进电梯，这场灾难本可以避免。这一切都缘于该男子的消防意识太淡薄，违规将电动自行车推进了电梯，才造成了如此严重的后果，该男子的行为可能已经涉嫌违法！
更可怕的是，该男子可能根本无力承担这些伤者后续的治疗费用，毕竟烧伤造成的伤害可能需要多次修复，甚至可能永远无法恢复！
2 foreigners blacklisted for illegal crossing the Great Wall
The two tourists, both from Senegal, were found by other tourists to have violated regulations, ignored the “no crossing” sign, and climbed across the Great Wall to an undeveloped area on April 30, according to a notice released by the official WeChat account of the Mutianyu section of Great Wall.
In a photo posted by the account, a man in a black coat was sitting on the wall while another in a gray coat crossed the scenic spot sign into an undeveloped area, with a sign near them read: “This is the undeveloped segment of the Great Wall. No crossing.”
The scenic spot, after receiving the information from a tourist, immediately used the ticket and monitoring system to obtain the information of the two tourists and put them onto a blacklist, restricting them from buying tickets in the future.
The section of the Great Wall is an unopened area, which is in need of repair. Many of its walls have suffered damages and the bricks are unstable. Before necessary repair, the wild Great Wall needs to maintain its original appearance and cannot withstand arbitrary trampling and destruction by tourists, the notice said.
两名外籍游客违禁翻长城，被拉入“黑名单”
在2021年的4月30日，也就是五一假期的前一天，慕田峪长城景区发出了这么一则通报，通报中指出，有两名外国游客违禁翻越长城，景区对其拉入“黑名单”。
根据景区通报中指出，在4月30号，北京慕田峪长城的20号敌楼处，两名塞内加尔籍的游客不顾景区提示“前方是未开发段长城，禁止翻越”的标志，违禁翻越长城。
据悉他们翻越处属于未开放区域，多处墙体坍塌，亟待维修。先不说这种行为存在安全隐患，在修缮之前，还需要让长城保存历史原貌，经不起任何一点踩踏和破坏。
