毫无准备的，整个尘世
突然悬挂在他手腕上
禅房微微颤动了一下
那些从墨，从漆黑的空虚中
提起来的笔划
那些不甘心的骨头
终究要被重新按回纸上
爱过它们的人
早已渡过了银河
而我们仍旧滞留此间
他写啊写啊，走失百年的羊
一只又一只
跌跌撞撞地回来
一刀宣纸
可作汉字隔世的羊圈？
同样在滞留中
墨的孤独
拥抱着纸的孤独
而我们的孤独各自不同
他放下笔
低下来的天空触及远山
此刻之外，人间恍若茫茫留白

STUDYING CALLIGRAPHY IN THE MEDITATION ROOM

Without premeditation, an entire world
suddenly hangs on his wrist.
The Zen room trembled slightly.
Those dashes and strokes
raised from the ink, from the center of a black void,
those unwilling bones
are pressed down on the paper.
Many who loved them
have passed on to the other side of the Milky Way,
but we are still here.
He writes, oh, he writes,
then a sheep, and another sheep,
dodders back after being lost for an eon.
Can this stack of paper
keep the ancient characters in the fold?
A few others also stay behind.
The lonely paper
embraces the lonely ink.
Each of us has his own loneliness.
He lays down his pen.
The low sky touches the distant mountains.
Other than this point of time,
the world seems indistinct, seems blank.
