Hifun Bakery (present) andHaifeng Restaurant (past)
Well, from the 1940s through the 1990s, Haifeng Restaurant, or formerly known as Haifeng Tea House, was the sole establishment serving Western food in the city. We cannot ascertain its authenticity since it closed its doors in 2006, but you now have the chance totaste its desserts from the past!
从上世纪40年代到90年代，海丰西餐社（民国前叫海丰茶楼）几乎是杭州城里唯一一家正宗的西餐厅。在距离其2006年歇业17年后，新店于去年12月底试营业，主打烘焙西点和咖啡茶饮，还有当年的爆款产品复刻。
Hifun Bakery’s popular dishes
Hifun Bakery, a descendant of Haifeng Restaurant, has recently opened its doors, creating a buzz all around the city.It is situated at No. 48 Xueshi Road, right by the B exit of Longxiangqiao metro station.
海丰西餐社现在以“Hifun Bakery”的名字重新开张，位置在学士路48号，龙翔桥地铁站B口出来就是。
With the opening of this new establishment, many iconic dishes from the old Haifeng menu have made a triumphant return. We decided to visit the place and give you a tour of this famous bakery while trying out all the specialties, of course.
新店开业，海丰西餐社老店很多招牌产品都回归了。Hangzhou Discovery也在开业那几天前去探店。
Spotting the place was a breeze; even on a regular workday afternoon, a long queue had formed outside the bakery doors. At the end of the line, a sign caught our attention with a notice: “All products sold out today.” Surprisingly, this didn’t deter people who impatiently continued lining up behind the sign. And it paid off – everyone, including us, managed to get their hands on some delectable desserts!
海丰西餐社新店很好找——即使在一个普通的工作日下午，门外也已经排起了长队。在队伍的最后，一块牌子引起了我们的注意，上面写着：“今天所有产品已售罄。” 令人惊讶的是，这并没有阻止人们继续在牌子后面排队。
The authentic desserts that were once a staple at “Haifeng Restaurant” have become the top choices for the public. Among those were:

In addition to the classic products, the bakery has introduced some new additions, including Sichuan-style crispy buns, almond croissants, bread with cheese and smoked chicken, and more.

A word of caution: the bakery opens at 11 am every day, and by around 2 pm, most items are almost sold out! However, if you happen to arrive late in the afternoon, don’t get upset because cold drinks like fruit juice with ice cream and banana-boat ice cream are relatively in abundant supply!
And red bean soup withice cream, one of the best-sellers.The store also offers cakes, coffee.
需要注意的是，海丰西餐社每天上午11点开业，到下午2点左右，大多数热门商品几乎都卖光了。不过如果你下午去的话也不要气馁，因为像淇淋果露、香蕉船这类冷饮供应仍然相对充足，特别是最受欢迎单品之一——冰淇淋赤豆汤。另外店内还提供蛋糕和咖啡。
For many locals, Haifeng was where they first tried Western pastries, ice creams, steaks, and pastas. It was a spot for parents to introduce to their kids “foreign delicacies” and a trendy venue for young men and women to meet up for a date.
对于许多杭州人来说，海丰是他们第一次尝试西式糕点、冰淇淋、牛排和意大利面的地方。父母们在这里向孩子介绍“外国美食”，这里也是年轻男女在这里进行约会的时尚之选。

Therefore, the first batch of patrons at Hifun Bakery primarily turned out to be senior citizens. “It’s not just about indulging in food; it’s about relishing the memories!” 60-year-old Ms. Zhang told Hangzhoufeel.
因此，海丰面包店的首批顾客主要是老年人。“来这里不仅仅是为了食物，更是在品味回忆！”60岁的张女士告诉我们。
