上图是某些公司或者机构里常见的建议箱（Suggestion Box）。
在商业报告的正文末尾或者结论部分，我们通常要向公司提出自己的建议、给出推荐以方便决策。
常用于表示建议的句子结构有下面这些：
1. I (also) suggest that (in future we provide)…
2. I (also) think it would be a good idea to…
3. I (strongly) recommend that we (choose/ look into the possibility of)…
4. I feel that it is important that we should…
5. I suggest we (contact them to negotiate an agreement).
有关Negotiate：
Negotiate这个词可能我国白领用的比较少，建议大家增加使用频率。简单说，它有两个含义：
– to discuss something formally in order to make an agreement 正式讨论某事，以达成一个协议
…negotiate an agreement…
达成协议
…negotiate a loan…
协商贷款
– to get over, through, or around (something) successfully, to find your way on a difficult path.
成功越过，在困难的路径里成功找到自己的路
… negotiate the trip in two hours… 在2小时内完成了旅程
To grow into the world is to negotiate between principle and self-interest.
在这个世界上成长，就是在社会准则和个人利益之间奋力前行。
Negotiate在16世纪前后从拉丁文引入英语，本意有trade贸易的意思，可见是个从大航海时代过来的词。想想当时环游世界的商人要面临的困难以及需要协调的各方不同人群的利益，negotiate有上述2个意思并不难理解。

Justified感觉也是周围中国同事很少用的词，意思是合理的、事出有因的。既然别人用的少，那就建议自己多用。:)

有关essential，背包客还会见到下面的用法。
假设某个旅游国家刚发生了政变，局势不稳，这时各国外交部可能会发旅游预警，其中往往会出现下面这句话：
Please avoid non-essential traveling to XXXX.
请避免去XXXX国家非必要的旅行。
句中，non-essential traveling = non urgent trip/ non necessary trip.

10. My second suggestion is that…
11. We should start to consider how best we can (introduce)…
12. We should try to improve…
13. Our chief recommendation is that…
14. In order to respond to this, the company should/ must…
15. There is a need for…
16. XXXX is necessary.

缺乏的内容，正是我们需要改进的地方。这也是一种建议。
那么，对于推荐或建议，人们采纳的话：
– I am going to follow your suggestion.
– I will take your advice.
注意take和follow的固定搭配。其实它们两个在句子里可以彼此替换，但显得不如上述固定搭配那么地道。
如果是拒绝，口语一点用turn down，礼貌一些用decline，高冷一点用refuse或者reject。
