In a culture that values work and productivity, a lot of people seem to have a hard time slowing down. Feeling stressed, exhausted, overwhelmed, overstimulated are all conditions that can come with the hustle and bustle of the modern lifestyle. That’s why it’s important for us to find the time and space for quietude and to give our body and mind adequate rest. We need to make time for recharging and restoring our nervous systems. “The quieter you become, the more you can hear,” said Ram Dass. This is where a type of yoga that has been growing in popularity in recent years comes in to play—Yin Yoga.

Yin Yoga is a meditative, reflective, slow-paced approach practice where postures are held for a longer period of time in a relaxed manner, up to 5 minutes or more. Unlike a dynamic yang practice (Ashtanga, Vinyasa) that is about getting out of the head and into the body, the muscles, creating heat and movement, Yin Yoga is about slowing down and going in, as the name suggests, and focusing on our breath while noticing what happens when we give ourselves the time to be freer and calmer. It is a practice in stillness, patience and non-reactivity and it is healing and nourishing with profound physical, emotional and energetic effects. Through a Yin Yoga practice, we offer ourselves the opportunity to travel inward and balance out the yang activities that might lead to fatigue and burnout.

阴瑜伽是一种沉思式的、自我反射式的、慢节奏的瑜伽习练方式,每个体式需在舒适的状态中坚持较长的时间,达5分钟之久甚至更长。阳瑜伽(如阿斯汤加,流瑜伽)更加动态,能够专注在让身体和肌肉产生活动和热能,而阴瑜伽则不同,它主要是让身体慢下来感受到更多,专注呼吸,给予自己足够的时间变得宁静和自在。正是这种缓慢、耐心的瑜伽方式独具身心灵的滋养效果,我相信这是现代人最为需要的东西,因为日常快节奏的生活已经太偏阳性了,让人感到疲惫劳累,极需一些平衡。

There are around20 classical poses(+ variations) in the Yin Yoga repertoire which might appear easy at first glance. The challenge remains in keeping stationary while cultivating stillness. On the physical level, Yin Yoga targets bones, joints, fascia and deep connective tissues. There is no aesthetic ideal to reach which makes the Yin Yoga approach very liberating. Instead there is an emphasis on a functional approach. By stretching the fascia, a continuous web of tissue that surrounds the organs, lymph nodes, muscles and nerves, we achieve a greater range of motion and increased flexibility.

On theenergetic level,the practice reconnects with its roots of Taoist yoga, and uses the ancient map and modern theory of the meridians. The long holds in Yin restore harmony in the subtle body by targeting the channels that run through the connective tissues. Rather than tightening muscles in a yang practice, in Yin Yoga we lengthen the connective tissues, release the muscles and deepen the breath. This helps in lowering cortisol levels, which then leads to less “mind chatter”, less tension and stress, allowing us to be more present.

从能量层面来看,阴瑜伽与道瑜伽有紧密的联系,既有古老的根源又具现代的经络理论。通过长时间保持一个体式,我们可以通过关注贯通全身的连接组织让微妙的身体重获和谐。与锻炼和增强肌肉的阳瑜伽不同,阴瑜伽重视的是伸展连接组织、放松肌肉、延长呼吸,从而降低皮质醇水平,达到头脑放空、身体放松、减少压力、活在当下的状态。

On theemotional/mental level,the Yin approach prepares the practitioner for meditation as one of the central intention of the Yin practice is the cultivation of inner stillness and a keen sense of introspection. By holding postures longer, we can release energetic toxins, such as anger, anxiety, grief, and even extreme excitement. When the energies flow freely through the meridians/body channels, it can help us achieve more emotional balance.

从情绪层面来看,阴瑜伽帮助习练者进入冥想状态,这也是阴瑜伽最重要的核心之一,即内在镇定与深刻内省。通过长时间保持瑜伽体式,我们能够释放情绪毒素,如气愤、焦虑、悲伤甚至是极度的激动。当我们的能量能够自由地通过身体经络通道游走时,自然情绪状态就会平衡许多。

Incorporating Yin Yoga into our practice can ultimately help us slow down, restore balance and focus, and live in the present moment with mindfulness. The Yin practice’s growing popularity is partly due to its magic that happens off the mat. With regular practice, Yin Yoga can help us navigate through the fast-paced modern life with more calm and patience and it may even spark a fire in us to make significant changes in life to become better versions of ourselves day by day!

导师介绍 About the teachers

Murielle Burellier

Murielle的瑜伽之路开始于伦敦,那时还是20世纪90年代,她在二手书店无意中翻开了一本陈旧的关于瑜伽的书,便被深深吸引并从此打开了瑜伽习练的大门。从那时起她开始尝试学习各类瑜伽,几年中参加过各式培训,最终于2004年在International Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Ashram取得了瑜伽老师的认证资格。

2006年,她第一次接触到了阴瑜伽,并跟随阴瑜伽的创始人(Paul & Suzee Grilley)以及Victor Chang进行了丰富的训练。她有五年的金刚乘学习经历,也因此深深为阴瑜伽的沉静和冥想而着迷,并借此帮助自己达到更深层次的精神境界。她在阴瑜伽上的教学风格十分柔和,专注呼吸,自在地跟随身体的感觉走。

Sebastian Pucelle

Sebastian自1995年开始接触瑜伽,他的个人瑜伽学习之路是从阿斯汤加、哈他和阴瑜伽开始的。过去几十年中,他习练过多种类型的瑜伽,并将阴瑜伽作为基础,推广整体健康的生活方式。将西方解剖学和东方经络结合,使阴瑜伽成为了一种十分平衡并且具有疗愈艺术的瑜伽方式。

2006年,他与Murielle一起在伦敦的Triyoga工作室学习阴瑜伽,并被激发在自己的瑜伽生涯中获得更多的沉静和冥想。Sebastian在阴瑜伽的创始人(Paul & Suzee Grilley)的培训中多次协助,获得了丰富的知识和经验。他个人的教学风格十分独特,通过8年的经验累积,不仅对瑜伽有所长,还同时将日式指压按摩(他本人也是指压按摩的认证导师)与武术艺术融于其中。

If participants cancel their participation in the training for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions.

– In case of extreme unforeseen situations (injury, family emergency) 100% refund

– 60 days or more prior to the start of the training – 50% refund

– 0 to 31 days prior to the start of the training – No refund

Notice 备注

1. This course is a certified teachers training course. Upon completion, participants will receive a 50 hrs certificate.

2.The course will be in English language with occassional Chinese translation.

3. This course does not allow mobile and any recording devices in the classroom.
