Taylor在〈All Too Well〉的歌词裡写著：“我把围巾忘在你姐姐的家裡，你还好好地收在抽屉裡直到现在。”
很多人猜测这指的是杰克葛伦霍（Jack Gyllenhaal）现实生活中，同是演员的姐姐玛姬葛伦霍（Maggie Gyllenhaal）。而玛姬曾在节目上被问到她是否还有这条围巾，她回答：“我一直不明白为什麽每个人都问我这条围巾……我不知道。”
后段歌词中写著“然而从相识第一週开始，你就一直留著我的旧围巾，因为它让你想起那些纯真岁月，上面留有我的气味。”最后男主角围著这条红围巾，出现在Taylor13年后的读书会上。这或许代表了两人在多年后再次相遇，而红色围巾是他缅怀过去的象徵。
