Who We Are

NottingHall Family是一个“小而精”的团队，其中包括来自DCL的老师和精心招募并训练有素的高年级学生(简称hall tutor)。我们致力于保障同学们拥有宁静舒适的住宿环境，同时打造集学术、社交、文化功能的第二课堂，促进UNNCer的多维度个人发展，提供人文关怀，推动多元文化交流与传播。

我们的宗旨是:

NottingHall is a student group (called hall tutor) owned by the Department of Campus Life (DCL) at UNNC. Its main objective is to create a safe and peaceful residential environment for students. Additionally, it organizes various extracurricular activities in academic, social, and cultural areas to help students develop their skills and foster multicultural communication. The team also provides pastoral care for students.

Our goal:

To make the residential area more than a place to sleep.

· 有高度责任感，具备组织活动的经验与能力

· 善于思考，脑洞大开，拥有新奇点子

· 做事细心谨慎，且具备一定的英语口语交流和写作能力

· 擅长撰写推文，熟悉公众号运营，善于制作海报

· 熟练掌握学校纪律守则知识，具备调解学生矛盾的耐心和沟通技巧

· 服从DCL的工作安排 (如果无法胜任，DCL可在任意月末停岗)

If you meet the following expectations, you are welcome to join NottingHall as a Hall Tutor. This will be a great opportunity to showcase and develop your skills.

· A strong sense of responsibility.

· Experience and skills in organizing events and activities.

· Good at brainstorming and creating novel ideas.

· Have proficiency in both written and spoken English communication skills.

· Good at creating promotional articles and designing posters.

· A good understanding of the Student Code of Conduct and effective communication skills to handle conflicts.

· Be able to fulfill work arrangements responsibly. Failure to meet requirements may result in suspension.

工作内容

What Do You Need to Do

1. 工作期限：2024年4月16日- 2024年6月16日

2. 夜间值勤：hall tutor须按照要求于每日23:00至次日7:00对所管辖寝室楼定期巡楼，同时接待处理学生投诉（尤其是噪音问题），以保证公寓楼良好安静的生活环境。

3. 活动组织：组织和支持生活区学生活动，促进学生之间有意义的互动，同时负责相关的媒体宣传；

4. 社区建设：编织紧密的社区结构，增强居民之间的联系；

5. 矛盾调解：调解学生矛盾，运用同理心和有效的沟通策略来解决学生之间的纠纷（通常为夜间或夜间遗留问题）；

6. 维护监督：及时发现和报告任何有关公寓楼设施设备的安全问题，确保学生拥有安全、健康、舒适的生活环境；

7. 其他：参加培训，承担其他任务和工作职责。

1. Period of work: 16 April 2024-16 June 2024

2. During the night shift, hall tutors must patrol the residence buildings, address complaints from students (especially noise issues), and maintain a peaceful environment for rest and study.

3. Hall tutors are responsible for organizing and supporting student activities in the living area to encourage meaningful interactions. Additionally, they are responsible for media publicity.

4. Efforts should be made to strengthen the community by fostering connections between residents, using innovative strategies.

5. To resolve conflicts and disputes between students using empathy and effective communication strategies, especially at night.

6. To identify and report any maintenance issues of facilities in halls to ensure a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment.

7. To participate in training and complete other tasks as required.
