On the morning of March 14, 2019, ISNS’ own Dr. Francis Pang was invested as a Member of the Order of Canada. This prestigious award is presented to a small number of individuals each year and is one of the highest of Canada’s civilian honors, recognizing outstanding achievement, dedication to the community, and service to the nation1.

This year, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, invested 1 Companion, 2 Officers and 37 Members into the Order of Canada at the historic Rideau Hall in Ottawa, Ontario. It was a very momentous occasion not only for the Pang family but for our community as well as we watched Dr. Pang be recognized for his work in championing cross-cultural education between Canada and China.
