2、棋子(Stone)
棋子分黑白两色，形状为扁圆形体。棋子分为单面凸和双面凸的，还按材质分为很多种。其中最适合初学者的就是一套普通的单面新云子，价格是100元左右。每套棋子数量都是固定的，大概黑白都是185子。（棋子的数量应能保证顺利终局。正式比赛以黑181、白180子为宜。）

二、蛤碁石 (日文：はまぐりごいしHamaguri goishi)：
价格上千上万的都有，产地日本围棋白子系天然贝壳打磨而成，做工细腻，根据其表面花纹分为“雪印”“月印”“实用”三个级别。黑子则为日本特产那智黑石打磨而成。
3、棋盒 (Bowl)
棋盒讲究不多，能把棋子装起来就行。可以自行定制也可以在网上几十块钱就买一对。
