演奏者正是刚入职不久的住院女医师张心怡，而聆听者是苦苦等待心脏移植的重症病人华宁（化名）。
华女士被肥厚性非梗阻性心肌病困扰20多年，即将接受心脏移植。
术前她的情绪极度紧张。
而心怡医生也是为放松病人紧张的情绪，经主任同意后才脱下白大褂为病人弹奏了一曲琵琶。
在听完这场特殊“独奏”后的几天里，患者华女士的失眠状况得到了明显改善，心态也变得乐观开朗，精神状态一天比一天好！看来，医者仁心，不仅能执刀“救身”，也能“救心”。
事实上，音乐真的很有力量，甚至能“治病”！音乐疗法起源于20世纪中期的美国，目的就是“治愈疾病、缓解病痛”，当时在美国军人医院中，医生们发现为受伤的战士播放音乐，可以降低伤口的感染率，与此同时，院内的死亡率也会降低。
