No1. 开罗 1990.10.28与北京结为好友
开罗是埃及首都及最大城市，也是非洲及阿拉伯世界最大城市。城市横跨尼罗河，为整个中东地区的政治、经济、文化和交通中心。它每年创造埃及1/3的国民生产总值，许多埃及国民都选择在开罗寻找就业和发展的机会。而作为世界闻名的旅游城市，开罗也吸引了大量外国游客到此参观游览。
景点有埃及博物馆。这座博物馆是世界上最著名、规模最大的古埃及文物博物馆，藏品在10万件以上，在介绍埃及文化，特别是在介绍法老时期和希腊—罗马时期的古物方面，是无与伦比的。
开罗塔，塔高187米。登上这座现代化建筑，全城景色，尽收眼底：川流不息的车辆，大大小小清真寺的拱顶，鳞次栉比的高大建筑，还有白帆点点，飘若玉带的大河，荡漾入海，不舍昼夜。
金字塔群及狮身人面像，位于市区西南，陈运和诗称赞“胡夫金字塔挺胸是百姓创造的骄傲，狮身人面像表露出对中国龙的情谊”。

Cairo is one of the largest cities in Africa. Cairo has stood for more than 1,000 years on the same site on the banks of the Nile, primarily on the eastern shore. Located in the northeast of the country, Cairo is the gateway to the Nile delta, where the lower Nile separates into the Rosetta and Damietta branches.

No. 2 豪登省 1998.12.6与北京结为好友
豪登这个字眼来自于索托语，意思是“黄金之地”。这个词真是恰如其分，因为该省确实从这种珍贵的金属中获得了财富。重要的城市约翰内斯堡和比勒陀利亚使豪登省成为南非工商行政中心，同时也是推动整个非洲南部发展的动力源泉。
约翰内斯堡和附近的Sandton拥有高级饭店、餐馆和购物中心。离约翰内斯堡不远处就是庞大而且正在扩建的索维托（西南城），它有数百万人口。居民住房从简陋的棚屋到富丽堂皇的大厦，种类不一。
