由芬兰领事馆发起，我院与TEAM Finland和东华大学时尚创意学院共同主办的芬兰独立100周年庆祝活动，将于6月11日（周日）在上海商城（南京西路1376号）举行。欢迎大家现场感受纯正芬兰！
不过这不是小编的重点，重点是在这场即将引爆上海的活动中，你将看到我院生态环境设计研究室主任Mary Polites专为此次庆祝活动设计的“风景的曲线”。

Mary Polites
现任同济大学设计创意学院生态环境设计研究室副主任，并在中国、亚洲和南美从事参数化设计工作坊的教学活动。主要从事建筑设计肌理与结构系统设计方法研究，将社会、经济和自然系统的复杂性与美感带入建筑设计中。
Mary Polites is an architectural designer, currently teaching environmental design and biomimicry at the Tongji Shanghai Design and Innovation College (D&I). She also tutors workshops focused on parametric design and urbanism throughout China, Asia and South America. Sheco-directsMAPS (Methods for the Architecture of Patterns and Systems), leading research and design projects focused on articulatingthe complexity of current social, economic and natural systems in China.
设计亮点
为芬兰100周年独立活动设计的“风景的曲线”灵感来源于芬兰独特的自然环境，并加以抽象提取成为具有功能性的展示环境。设计概念是千湖之国与极光辉映的芬兰印象，两者相遇呈现出一座座曲线勾勒出的小岛，让观众从各个角度都能将融入环境的视觉景象。观众在浏览芬兰各公司品牌的产品展示的同时，又好像徜徉于岛间，希望以此简洁概念性的设计激发观众探索芬兰的兴趣和热情。
Design Highlight
The “Contoured Landscapes” concept for the100 year Finnish Independence Event was developed as an abstraction of the unique natural features held in the Finnish landscapes. The concept reflectsthe many lakes that activate the land and the Aurora Borealis that aredisplayed within its atmosphere. Considering these forms together allowed forthe generation of curved contoured islands in which the people could visualengage with from different perspectives. The visitors are meant to move through the landforms freely, as a way to discover the details of each display.The environment is meant to evoke a simplified atmosphere of the naturalsetting of Finland as well as provide insight through an online informativesystem, in which a detailed description will be provided to explain thefeatures of the Finnish landscape.
