被困在美国
TRAPPED IN AMERICA
大家好！这是我在COVID-19期间在美国的小博客。
由于我妈妈摔断了她的臀部，2020年5月中旬我从中国飞回了纽约市。她已经80岁。幸运的是，我妈妈的康复相当顺利。不幸的是，我和我的女儿，ANORA，被困在美国——谢谢COVID-19！上周六（11月14日）我们终于回国了，正在中国……嘘，我不能说在哪里的某个地方隔离中。不管，回来真是太好了！！！
那么，过去在美国这六个月是怎样的呢？一个国家控制疫情的能力就像一个不会擦自己屁股的婴儿。老实话，相当令人沮丧。但，不能让愤怒占据生活，这不能阻止我继续攀登，也阻挡不了我跟我女儿进行探险之旅。
因此，我会把我在美国的六个月时间压缩成接下来的12天，主要谈攀登、以及其他旅行有关的和我能想到的任何其他小事情。
This is my mini-blog about being in the US during COVID-19.
I flew from China to New York City in mid-May because my mom broke her hip and she is 80 years old. Fortunately, my mom’s recovery was fairly smooth. Unfortunately, I ended up being trapped in the US – Thanks COVID-19! – together with my daughter, Anora. We were finally able to return back home last Saturday (14 Nov) and are presently in quarantine somewhere here in China. Shhhh, I’m not allowed to say where… ha-ha. Oh, and yes, it’s wonderful to be back!
So, what was 6 months of being in the US like, in a country that is as good at controlling the pandemic as a baby is at wiping its own ass? Well, pretty frustrating. But, you can’t go through life exasperated, and you definitely can’t keep me from climbing or having a bit of an adventure with my daughter.
So, I’m going to condense my 6 months in the US into the next 12 days. Mostly talking about the climbing, other escapades and any other thing I think of.
我的妈妈是一位独一无二、非常励志的女性。我已经有好几年没有花时间陪她了，所以从很多方面来说，这趟旅程都是一次意料之外的收获。可能有的人还不知道，我的妈妈设计并建造了成都的活水公园。这个由我妈妈创造的公园以环境问题和水资源的重要性为主题，是一件令人称奇的艺术品。
My mom is a unique and inspirational woman. I hadn’t spent much time with my mom for several years, so in many ways, this trip was an unexpected treat. For those of you who don’t know, my mom created the Living Water Garden (活水公园) in Chengdu and her incredible artwork revolves around environmental issues and the importance of water.
在刚回去的头两个月，我和我姐姐共同照顾我妈妈，我可以找到一点儿空闲时间出门去攀岩。当时美国所有地方都关门，所以事情有点困难。我从纽约开车一个半小时，在一个叫做Ralph Stover Park的公园找到了一处岩壁。那儿的石头很有意思，是红色、有点光滑、被挤压得很坚固的页岩。我带着我的女儿和侄女Anja一起，她们年纪正好差不多。
During the first two months of taking care of my mom with my sister I was able to get out climbing a bit. It was challenging as most everything in the US was closed. I found a small crag 1.5 hours from NYC called Ralph Stover park. Interested rock. Red, slick, consolidated shale. I took my daughter and my niece, Anja, who are about the same age.
还有一段时间在我姐夫的避暑房度过，房子位于宾夕法尼亚州一个美丽的湖边，生活与世隔绝，没有病毒打扰。
Also spent time at my brother-in-laws summer house, which is on a beautiful lake in Pennsylvania. Secluded and COVID free.
