In Kennesaw, it is the law for every household to own a gun. The law isn’t exactly enforced
– but I hope this can give some context as to what we mean by “easy” when some

The rule of thumb is that the more republican, rural, “redneck”, cowboy, or polar
bear filled the area, the more guns they have, the more relaxed their gun laws and
the easier it is to obtain a gun legally. Urban areas, blue states, places with gang
problems, “hipster” areas tend to not allow the open carry of guns, and purchasing
a gun can be a bit more difficult. You can get an idea for this with these two charts
with the guns laws being strictest starting at A and progressively less strict A-, B, B-,
C, C-, D, D- till their least strict at F. I wish I could find a chart that wasn’t so biased
– let me assure you that the residents of the orange failing states wear their Fs proudly.

I’m not sure what Nebraska’s deal is here then- I can only assume that the residents
of this state would rather save their money to move to better states such as any
other state exhibit A:

As far as obtaining a gun illegally well this is extremely easy given that they’re
everywhere I don’t even know if its a matter of knowing a crime syndicate- although
I’m sure this does happen. If you’re a convicted felon for example, you don’t have to
be on good terms with the Mafia to get a gun- you could just as easily ask your
girlfriend to buy it for you (straw purchase). If we’re talking about getting a gun into a
place like Chicago then it can be done with precisely the same ease of driving outside
of city limits and purchasing a gun (or having someone do it for you) and then driving
back without being pulled over by the police- like hundreds of thousands do everyday.

This article made waves among my friends because the way our city is portrayed
is absolute and utter nonsense. We don’t see people walking around with guns that
often (although they absolutely do have this right to carry a gun openly), and you
could live here for years and not see one with the primary factor being how often you
shop at Walmart. We are a pretty affluent suburb of Atlanta, and they have portrayed
us like a trailer park. But the mentality they’re portraying does exist in small pockets
we just generally associate it with our more rural neighbouring towns.
