Hundreds of residents in southwest China’s Sichuan Province have lined up to donate blood following Tuesday night’s devastating earthquake.
One day after the disaster, 13 locations were set up across the provincial capital Chengdu for residents to donate blood to help those being treated in hospital.
According to the Chengdu Blood Center, more than 1,000 people have donated.

While at another, a People’s Liberation Army soldier also helped out, supported by his wife.
At least 20 people have been killed in the earthquake, with a further 431 injured.
More than 47,000 tourists have also been moved to safety.
