带着这些问题,结合探究单元活动,孩子们对动物有了更深入的了解。通过模拟挤奶活动,孩子们知道了奶牛给人类提供牛奶,动物也会与人们分享它们的资源。

通过饲养小兔子、仓鼠、金鱼、乌龟等动物,孩子们不仅了解了这些动物的生活习性,更提升了爱心和责任心。此外孩子们还带着各种问题去海洋世界实地参观,探索更多的未知领域。

孩子们以绘画、歌曲、游戏、角色扮演、对话等形式展示了自己对动物的认识,表达了对各种生物和谐共存的理解。愿爱与责任感伴随着孩子成长。

The K1s stepped into Semester 2 after a long Chinese New Year Break. We started our third unit of inquiry on the theme of – Sharing the Planet. Our central idea revolved around investigating and exploring various animals and their habitats. We also looked into recognizing the elements needed to keep animals alive. Through observing and identifying living and non-living things, children discovered more about them.

As we progressed into our inquiry, students created different animal homes using cardboard boxes and different materials to build a habitat. Children were engaged in hands-on activities like sheep rearing and extracting milk from the cows. Students will learn how we depend on animals for a variety of resources. Pets such as turtles and fishes were brought to the classroom and kept along with toy animals. By observing their movements, students understood the difference between living and non-living things. By feeding them with water and food, they will learn to be responsible and caring individuals.

Both students and teachers have been very enthusiastic about this unit of inquiry from the very beginning. Many students were highly engaged in class discussions and were able to demonstrate a clear understanding of concepts such as responsibility. They improved on their vocabulary vastly and children learned through multiple modes: songs, play, exploration, role-play, videos and animal visits.
